The L.A. SIGGRAPH 2014-2015 season is starting with a meeting on “The State of the Visual Effects Industry”,
with some great panelists. As we well know, the industry in Southern California, is in upheaval.
Many changes have occured in the vfx industry. Although the animation industry in L.A is still robust,
the effects facilities are shadows of their former selves. Our panelists will give a view of some of the
causes and offer some solutions to the current state of vfx.
